A good life is based on Emotions, Reasoning and Resources.
While we may have a only a few resources, or we may have very little control over all the available resources, we have the maximum control over our own emotions and reasoning.
To live a good life, we need to experience, understand, practice, utilize, harness, and master both emotions and reasoning.
We can influence and control our own emotions and reasoning, and that helps us lead a good life.
Emotions and Reasoning are like two sides of a single coin. For every situation, we rely more on one or the other. That is, at least subconsciously, we call on one or the other to handle the situation. That is, we make a "call" - very similar to calling heads or tails. We need to call it right, especially when it matters the most.
A true measure of a human's intelligence is based on the human's ability to effectively use their emotions and reasoning.
IQ, Success, Fame, Power, or Wealth are not a proxy for a human's true intelligence.
If this "True Intelligence" is ever quantified, most humans will have a value of their True Intelligence that is closer to the average True Intelligence. Very few humans will be closer to the extremely low value or extremely high value.
Is the average True Intelligence good enough for a human who possesses it to have a good life?
So, statistically speaking, even today, at least 80% of humans can have a well-earned good life.
If humans, utilizing their True Intelligence, can build a Utopian society from their existing society, then in such a Utopian society, almost all people can have a good life.
Regardless of the kind of society one lives in, a good life still has to be earned. One does not start with it. And, it can't be given. But, it can be nurtured.
